Integration with locals and immigrants is vital in cities. Mixity halls will bring cultural and exchange festivals to cities; through for example food events like cooking workshops and eating together in public spaces; music events, sports competitions among children, parks and playgrounds… The idea behind Mixity halls is to create an integration tool, where locals and migrants have spaces to help, support and teach each other; not in a bureaucratic manner, but through informal exchanges.
The help and support between migrants and locals should happen naturally in this spaces; where even if aimed for cultural exchange of migrant’s own stories and cultures; locals will also have a space where to raise their voices and collaborate in the creation of a micro-scale local economy based on self production (food, handmade objects, artisanal products, etc) to be sell rather through the market, or in other public places and festivals.
