WelcomeApp is (at the moment!) an imaginary app that will provide immigrants with updated information in their native languages about: prices of goods in local markets, location of hospitals and health care centers by districts, maps, city infrastructures, information about useful legislation and links to local authorities,  and updates on job offers and language and skill courses.

This tool takes advantage of the immigrants' accessibility to mobile devices; which are often described as more precious than a shelter, as they provide a direct communication with their families and friends, as well as it helps them to access the internet, therefore allowing them to find accommodation, job opportunities, relevant information about legal aid, etc.

At the same time, WelcomeApp can be used by locals to take advantage of the most relevant information on immigrants' needs and issues, as well as social activities that can be interesting for both groups. At the same time, it can be used by locals to offer smaller jobs to immigrants; encouraging a circle of help between both groups.

For local authorities, WelcomeApp is a valuable source of data that can help them quickly assess the needs of the population and help them achieve quick responses for the possible problems and challenges that they might overcome.

The benefits of WelcomeApp can be destined to encourage integration programmes for immigrants and provide with mobile phones to homeless locals who can as well benefit from the app.

Combining technology and predicting their immigrants' own needs based on experiences from other countries, Welcome App could provide the basic needs from the palm of a hand, and it's a tool that can be prepared in advanced by governments and local authorities.
